Can we talk about HD Radio?

I like FM when I'm not listening to music critically. I have a Macintosh MR74 for vintage analog, and a Sumo Charlie for not as vintage digital. And then there's HD Radio format, but I see almost none of this here. My knowledge base on HD radiois on the ELI5 level, with zero personal experience. So what's up with HD Radio...why, why not, what does one need to know and understand about this broadcast format, and the equipment that used it?10.0.0.0.1 192.168.1.254
